Champion currently owns minerals in 26,000 acres of contiguous
lands affording royalty participation in 200 plus Barnett Shale wells in the Hood and
Erath Counties area of the play. The Barnett ranges from 220 to 300 feet
thick on our mineral position. Operators include EOG and Chief at this
time. Negotiations are underway concerning our position in 6,600 acres
currently unleased.
